Projects must focus on improving the quality of postsecondary academic instruction to recruit and retain a greater number of qualified and diverse graduates who pursue careers in the agricultural sciences. Environmental Grants for Native Americans

The Administration for Native Americans’ Environmental Regulatory Enhancement program is offering funding to strengthen tribal government capacity to identify, plan, develop, and implement solutions to environmental programs that will bolster regulatory efforts in a manner consistent with a Tribe's cultural preservation and natural resource management priorities.
Funding to Improve Youth Outcomes

YouthBuild, a program of the DOL, focuses on in-school learning leading to a high school diploma or GED certificate, as well as occupational skills training in preparation for career placement. It targets high school dropouts who may also be adjudicated youth; youth aging out of foster care; youth with disabilities; and other at-risk youth populations.
House for Military Service Members and Their Families
Grant Sizes: Up to $50,000
Deadline: April 23
Grants fund the Newman’s Own Awards for creative ideas to improve the quality of life of service members and their families. Nonprofits or volunteer organizations are eligible. May not use grant funds for salaries/wages. Online application only.
Coordinated Services for Homeless

This SAMHSA program funds community projects that integrate mental health and substance abuse treatment with permanent housing and other services for chronically homeless individuals. Particular emphasis is currently being placed on helping veterans.
